The feature-length documentary follows the journey of Dimitris Kyrsanidis (DK), Greece’s first Parkour World Champion and one of the country’s most beloved content creators.
The film will be screened at eight Village Cinemas locations across Athens, Thessaloniki, Volos, Larissa and Patras, from October 30 to November 29, 2026, with the star attending every screening in person.
Stavroupoli, Thessaloniki. A 12-year-old boy finds a lost jacket and, instead of asking for a thank-you, asks for something else: to be taught that strange thing that allows people to move over walls.
He had no idea he was asking for a whole new life.
The film “DK: Chasing the Dream” follows Dimitris Kyrsanidis from the parks of Thessaloniki to the podium of the first Parkour World Championships in Tokyo. It is the story of an athlete who was told that his sport “wasn’t a sport.” Who secretly entered closed gyms because no one would give him a place to train. Who competed with a fractured hand and won. Who took his first steps in abandoned parks, through mud and rain. Who went on to win the first official Parkour World Championship in Tokyo, claim victory twice at Red Bull Art of Motion in Santorini, and win the Air Wipp Challenge in Sweden and the Freestyle Competition in Hiroshima.
But above all, it is a story about what remains when the lights go out. Faith. Alexandra. Little Arsenis, learning how to land safely. The gym he built for children who were once just like him. And the 200 students who are carrying his journey forward.
Because competitions come to an end. The dream has only just begun.
